The Angkor Ban School Library Project .......and the Raffle

Steve Knightley and Phil Beer recently had the opportunity to travel to Cambodia and were struck by the kindness and friendliness of the people they encountered, despite the country's challenging history. With the guidance of Kunthul Vann, they visited Angkor ban village and had the pleasure of seeing the English library that had been donated by the Pandaw Cruise company to the local school. Their visit to Cambodia serves as a testament to the resilience and strength of the human spirit, and a reminder of the transformative power of education in building stronger communities.

Show of Hands, with Miranda Sykes
Now Live ...

Captured on the final night of their Autumn tour at Exmouth Pavilion, this film of Show of Hands' trio set perfectly encapsulates the excitement and drama of their live shows. Filmed by Jolyon Holroyd, the trio's musicianship and harmonies shine through in this performance, featuring the return of Miranda Sykes.
From traditional folk to contemporary favorites, the band's ability to connect with their audience through their music and storytelling is on full display. This film is a testament to the power of live performance and a must-see for any fan of Show of Hands or folk music in general.

The film above is free to watch, but any donation is gratefully received, and 100 percent of the proceeds go to the Angkor Ban school fundraiser.
As an added bonus, every 5 pound donation receives an entry in the 'Raffle' - and will be in the draw to win whatever awesome prize we  come up with ... see below for the most recent.

The Legendary Royal Albert Hall Raffle

During each of their previous shows at Albert Hall, Show of Hands have conducted a raffle for a handmade instrument created by the late and renowned West Country luthier, David Oddy. His son Nick upholds this tradition once again this year. The raffle was held virtually, and anyone who contributed to the Angkor Ban school fundraiser appeal was automatically entered, with the winner announced both online and during the event. .......And our congratulations go to Jim Morrison  - The Winner!

Steve and Kunthul

After being guided to the Angkorban school by guide Kunthul Vann during their Mekong River trip, Steve Knightley and Phil Beer were impressed by the Pandaw tour company's establishment of an English library for the students. In light of the impressive work being done at the institution, Knightley and Beer decided to raise funds for the school. If you would like to contribute to their cause, you can use the donation link, which will be up alongside the Show of Hands film above on March 25th.
